I chose to use real gold leaf because of the inherent energy it holds. Yes, of course, some of the gilded lines are imperfect, yes there are smudges here and there (despite my best efforts) but somehow I think the imperfections are a testament to the humanity of the creative act. Utter perfection I will leave to AI.
With these, you will know I sat in quiet, contemplative solitude at my kitchen table, not rushing, simply being present in the moment as I worked, adding a point of stillness to the field.
Because gilding requires a fair amount of time, I’ve committed to making 50 of them. And for those not so interested in the added extra, prints without gilding are also available.
